Rolling through the Enrolment Process 2013
Freshies (noun) ["Fresh-shees"]: the shorter and more affectionate way of saying “freshmen”, first-year students in a tertiary education institute.
The 2013 Enrolment Packages have been sent out, and freshies should be getting it this week. The thing is – we know it can be quite a crazy load of information to digest, so we’re here to help.
Firstly, if you have any questions about enrolment, you can ask us here on the blog, on Facebook or on Twitter.
We’ve also compiled a set of tips for you, based on the most commonly asked questions we received on Monday. We’ll update this blog with more FAQ answers as the week progresses.
If you wish to come down to TP to have your documents printed, to collect missing forms or to hand in your Envelopes, our One Stop Service Centre is here:
A couple of other things to note:
- We use the term matriculation number (or matric number) and admission number (or admin number) to mean the same thing. It’s your student “ID” number, and should start with “13″ (the year you’re enrolled) and end with a letter. It’s found on your Enrolment letter.
- If you’re still waiting on the status of your DAE application, we strongly encourage you to accept your JAE or JPSAE-offered course first. If your DAE application is successful and you want to change course, you can apply for a course transfer. However, if you do not accept your JAE/JPSAE course and do not succeed in your DAE application, you will not have a course available to you.
We’ll be updating this post daily, so feel free to spread the information around to your friends as well!

Hello! I would like to ask which orientation camp does the PFP students need to attend? Early Thanks!
Hi Sidd! The tuition fees are payable in both June and December.
Hi Malcolm! There is a letter box near the One Stop Service Centre, just beside the AXS machine for you to drop your letters.
Hi! You will be able to access the TP Student’s e-mail roughly before the Orientation week.
Hi Patrick! The Orientation Camp which the PFP students are required to attend has been mailed out early this week and you should be receiving yours soon.
Hi Daniel, as long as you have completed the online enrolment and have accepted the course online, you are already a TP student. However, for any outstanding enrolment documents required, TP will notify you via post.
Hi J. You are encouraged to affix the stamp. However, it all depends on Singpost whether they will proceed to mail the documents to us.
Hi. What kind of notebooks does an environment design student uses? A MacBook or a laptop?
Hi there, I’m unable to log in to the student portal despite repeated tries. However, I’m still able to log in to the student email. What do I do?
Hi Alice! The student portal isn’t ready for students yet. We’ll let you know once it is!
What about those whose appeals are still under process? We are told the appeal result will be out only around 18/19 April. Don’t know why TP requires 3 weeks when NP takes only 1 week to process appeals. This means the successful appealed cases will miss out on the orientation with the rest of the class? Ow Aw!
